Mid-Project Check-In and Project Proposal Showcase
Date: Saturday, March 24, 2012
Time: 1:00 - 2:00PM - Participants to setup displays
2:00 - 4:00PM - Open showcase
Where: Allied Media Projects

The mid project check in will be a showcase of all DFM2012 participant project proposals. Project proposals should include project description, goals and plan of action. Other elements to include are sketches, storyboards, wireframes or any work you’d like to add that supports your and project proposal. Use visuals and items you have created in your workshops and major tracks. Be creative and have fun! Displays can be digital or analog. During the showcase we invite all participants to provide feedback as part of the peer critique and idea share process. To see if the direction of your project are meeting your goals. DFM2011 alumni are invited to the check ins to provide feedback, thoughts and insight. Participants are encouraged to invite two guests who are invested in your project to also provide feedback.

Format
Projects will be displayed throughout the Furniture Factory in a sort of science fair fashion. Each participant can use display boards and/or computers to display their proposal. Each participant will have a laptop. Post-It notes will be provided for comments and feedback.

Questions to think about when creating your display
1) Are you able to articulate what tools and skills you will need to complete your project? 
2) Did you clearly articulate a plan of action to complete their final project? i.e. could be a visual timeline of deliverables or list of deliverables with dates (see Project-Scope of Work Worksheet).
3) Were you able to identify what the purpose of your project and who your audience is?
4) Did you state any challenges they anticipate facing with their project? 
5) How does this project encompass your vision for Detroit's Future?
