Dramatic lighting. The scene gives the impression that the candles are the source of light.
State of Being: Tranquil
The natural light from the Sun through the windows steals light from the scene making it difficult to see what's going on in the scene.
Reaction:
The image looks flat. No depth. No separation between the subjects and the background.
