This past weekend, I completed the "iMovie '11 Essential Training" tutorial at Lynda.com. I followed the instructions and produced my first iMovie project.
The still images and video clips were provided by Lynda.com in the exercise files and the music is included in the iMovie software program. After I followed the instructions for editing the footage, I decided to add a voice-over in order to "fake" a Public Service Announcement for Hawaiian Surfing. The voice-over transcript came from Wikipedia. This is a learning project.
I edited the various elements - video clips, music, sound effects, narration as a way to learn how to use iMovie. This is part of my preparation for producing my own original PSA as part of my Detroit Future Media Major Media Project.
I learned a lot. I still have a lot to learn. And I have a LOT of questions about scriptwriting and using iMovie for video editing.
